The area is moving ahead in recovery from our economic down slide of the past 5 years. Jobs are being created, homes and businesses are being sold and more people are moving to the area. All of these are helping to stabilize our economy.
New statistics released on the increasing population of Manatee and Sarasota Counties show that we are increasing in numbers of households. The increase in families relocating means more homes being built by our builders, more construction jobs being created and more money being spent in our stores, restaurants and shops.
In addition, we have improving sports facilities being created. One is the new, already being improved, Benderson Rowing Facility off I-75 and University Parkway. An international Soccer facility, new improved IMG tennis facility and more. Already an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, the area is growing with more and more outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy.
Commercial is improving also with the new announcement that the Benderson University Parkway Shopping Mall will begin construction. Along with this, we have a new super WalMart ready to open on SR70 (just off Exit 217 of I-75), and more office and shopping space being leased.
